Cellulite Treatment (Aveli)

Cellulite treatment with Avéli is generally very tolerable. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, which helps minimize discomfort throughout the session. You may feel pressure or mild tugging as the handheld device works beneath the skin to release septa bands, but patients rarely describe it as painful. After the treatment, some bruising, soreness, or tenderness is expected, particularly in areas where more bands were released, which fades within several days to a few weeks.

We will only need a single session in order to target and release the relevant septa bands and achieve the results you desire.4 However, if an additional session is required, our team will let you know during your consultation.

Avéli™ cellulite reduction results are usually noticeable once the swelling and bruising from the treatment subsides. You will start to see results about 1 month after your procedure, and your final results will be visible about 3 months after your procedure.

Yes, cellulite treatment can be combined with a variety of other cosmetic procedures, depending on your goals, once your initial healing phase is over. While Avéli targets septa-related dimpling, additional treatments may be recommended if you also have skin laxity, uneven texture, or small pockets of fat. Options may include dermal fillers, Alloclae, Renuva, or even surgical intervention such as a BBL for specific contour irregularities.

Like any minimally invasive procedure, Avéli carries some risks, although complications are uncommon when performed by an experienced provider. Possible side effects may include swelling, fluid accumulation, bruising, hyperpigmentation, soreness, or temporary sensitivity in the treated areas. In rare cases, uneven texture or prolonged swelling can occur.

A typical Avéli™ session can take about 60-90 minutes, including administering local anesthesia and performing the procedure. The precise timing of the treatment will differ based on the custom plan designed by our team.

It is not recommended to engage in strenuous activities or workouts in the first few days or even weeks after your cellulite treatment.5 This simply allows the body to heal without putting any additional stress on it. Avéli™ is indicated for long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas of adult females, as supported by clinical data demonstrating treatment benefits through one year of observation. The most common side effects reported were mild pain within the first 24 hours and bruising and tenderness to the touch, which typically resolved within 30 days.
