A vampire facial is a dual-action treatment that uses both microneedling and PRP to give patients the effect of a facelift without the actual need for surgery. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a vital part of your blood, where the plasma serves as the liquid, and the platelets are the cells that heal and prevent clotting. We use SkinPen microneedling, an FDA-cleared device that creates controlled micro-channels in the skin. What to Expect on the Day of Vampire Facelift Treatment

For those in the greater Los Angeles area, your treatment will begin at our Beverly Hills office, where our team will go over any last-minute questions and recovery details before numbing the face with a topical anesthetic. First, blood will be drawn from another area of the body, usually from your arm. Then the blood is spun in a centrifuge, which separates the PRP from the rest of your blood, as this is all we will use for the treatment. Once ready, microneedling is performed, and the PRP solution is placed on the treated areas and/or injected into the face with a fine needle, along with dermal fillers in the areas outlined during your consultation. The entire process can take 1 to 2 hours, and you’ll be able to leave the same day and resume almost all your regular activities.

Your Guide to Post-Vampire Facelift Care

As mentioned, one of the main benefits of a vampire facelift is its minimal recovery time, especially compared to surgery. For a few days, possibly up to a week, you can expect to feel some minor swelling, bruising, or tightness in the affected areas. To alleviate some of the discomfort, you can wrap a towel around your face and place ice packs on it to reduce swelling, or take over-the-counter pain relievers.
