What is Glutathione?
Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant composed of three amino acids (glutamate, cysteine, and glycine) and is produced in nearly every cell of the body. It is often referred to as the body’s “master antioxidant” because it plays a critical role in neutralizing free radicals, supporting liver detoxification, and maintaining healthy cellular function. When glutathione levels are optimal, the body is better equipped to manage oxidative stress and maintain the health of tissues, organs, and even the skin.
Over time, glutathione levels can decline due to age, environmental exposures, lifestyle factors, or chronic stress. Glutathione therapy replenishes these levels through intravenous administration, allowing the antioxidant to be absorbed efficiently and begin supporting metabolic and cellular processes more immediately.
